Write That Book - From First Draft to Finished Manuscript
Presented by Katherine Ploeger

The writing process is fairly well known: plan – draft – revise.  However, there are many ways to accomplish these steps, with a few additional ones I've identified as useful, ones that will make your writing easier and more productive.

In this webinar, you will learn about:
* Drafting – the hard way and the easy way
* Simmering – why putting the project away for a while is most important
* Revision – revising addresses how your ideas are organized and developed.  Learn the 5-4-3 of Revision: 5 points to revise for, 4 stages of revision, and 3 times to get outside help.
* Editing – editing addresses the surface issues of the writing: how you say it rather than what you say. This is the last major step in the process because it's a waste of time to edit a paragraph that will be tossed during revision.  Here is one time when outside help is essential because even professional writers can't see some of their own errors – that takes a fresh set of eyes.
* Finishing the manuscript involves checking for consistency and accuracy in the text.

Once you understand the techniques and activities of the writing process, you can tackle each step with focus and confidence.  You can WRITE THAT BOOK!
